Our policies, reports and local procedures

The Department of Education sets the policies that guide how all schools across NSW operate. These policies cover important areas like attendance, absences, behaviour, uniform, and how we respond to your concerns.

At our school, we have local procedures these are practical guidelines created to fit our own school’s needs and community. They show how we put the Department’s policies into action in everyday life at our school. Together, our policies and local procedures help families understand how our school works and supports students.

The School Excellence Plan sets our goals and priorities for ongoing improvement. Our annual report and school plan share what we have achieved and how we are working to improve each year.

Annual school report

Each year, we share our progress in the annual school report. It gives families a clear picture of how our school is performing and how we’re supporting every student’s success. The report reflects our commitment to openness, accountability and continuous improvement.

The report includes:

School excellence plan

Our school excellence plan (SEP) is a working document that shows our priorities in learning, teaching and leading. It explains our focus areas for improvement and how we plan to get there. We write our SEP with help from our school community so it reflects our shared priorities.

School behaviour support and management plan

Our school has a school behaviour support and management plan (SBSMP). The SBSMP helps us create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment for all students. It sets clear expectations for student behaviour. This includes how we respond to bullying and cyberbullying. We work together with our school community to shape the plan and review it each year.

Local Procedures

A local procedure is a process or set of guidelines created by our school that helps us turn general policy into everyday actions. These procedures are created to suit our school and provide clear instructions for how things should be done, so staff, students, and families know what to expect.

Local procedures:

By following local procedures, we support a positive school environment where everyone knows their responsibilities and feels confident about what happens at school each day.
