Every child has the right to access quality public education in their local community. If you live in our local intake area, start your journey to join our vibrant school community today. Follow these key steps:

School contributions

In NSW public schools, all financial contributions are voluntary. Every student has full access to the curriculum, regardless of whether contributions are made.

Our voluntary contributions fund the motions put forward to improve our school by the Student Parliament.

Starting a new school is a big step. We're here to help make the transition a smooth and positive experience for every student and their family.

Orientation and Starting School Information 2025

Kindergarten orientation mornings for children will be held from 9:30am – 10.30am on;

Monday 27th October,

Thursday 13th November,

and Friday 28th November 2025

Teachers will meet parents at 9.30am at our Ravenscliffe Rd gate and collect students who will participate in a range of class activities

A starting school information morning session for parents will also be held on Friday 28th November 2025 at 9:45am, in our school hall.

This information session is designed to provide parents with more detailed information about all aspects of school life at Shoalhaven Heads Public School.

Topics covered will include -

·         School Readiness - strategies for preparing your child for school

·         Wellbeing- values and approach to student wellbeing,

·         Overview of curriculum

·         Parent involvement in learning

·         Uniforms

·         Parents and Citizens Association

·         OOSH – Before and after school care

·         Opportunity to ask questions.

First Day of Kindergarten 2026Monday 2nd February 2026

Students will begin school at 9:30am on their first day.
